Telefónica abused dominance in ADSL local-loop access

Summary
Spain's competition authority found that Telefónica abused its dominant position in fixed telecommunications by giving its own Telefónica Data subsidiary an advance advantage in access to the local loop, an essential input needed by rival providers to offer ADSL internet services. The authority also found abusive contractual wording that could lead customers to believe Telefónica Data enjoyed competitive advantages from belonging to the Telefónica group.
