Dino Polska fined for implementing acquisition before merger clearance

The President of UOKiK found that Dino Polska implemented part of its acquisition of 12 Domex-Kuśnierek stores before obtaining the required competition-authority consent. UOKiK concluded that Dino had already acquired control-relevant assets and influence over prices and commercial terms when the concentration notification was filed. In January 2020 the authority imposed a PLN 100,000 fine for carrying out a concentration without prior clearance.
