U.S. Labor Department agreement resolved alleged pay discrimination affecting 686 female LinkedIn employees
Company: LinkedIn Corporation
Summary
On May 3, 2022, the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs announced a conciliation agreement with LinkedIn Corp. resolving allegations that, from March 1, 2015 through March 1, 2017, 686 female employees in engineering, marketing and product job groups at its San Francisco and Sunnyvale facilities were paid less than male counterparts. LinkedIn agreed to provide $1.8 million in back wages and interest and to undertake compensation analyses, salary adjustments where required, reporting and training. This was a negotiated resolution of allegations, not a court judgment establishing liability. Primary source: https://www.dol.gov/newsroom/releases/ofccp/ofccp20220503
