On November 1, 2010, All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd., now the principal airline company within ANA HOLDINGS INC., agreed to plead guilty and pay a $73 million criminal fine for two price-fixing conspiracies. DOJ charged cargo-rate coordination from April 1, 2000 through February 14, 2006 and unpublished passenger-fare coordination during part of the same era. The plea agreement was subject to court approval. This record attributes the conduct to the operating airline, not to a separate conviction of the holding company formed later.
