AtkinsRéalis Group Inc.

On December 18, 2019, SNC-Lavalin Construction Inc., a subsidiary of the group now known as AtkinsRéalis, pleaded guilty in Canada to fraud. It admitted that between 2001 and 2011 it paid approximately $47.7 million to Saadi Gadhafi to secure an improper advantage for construction contracts and caused a loss exceeding $5,000 to Libyan organizations. The court imposed a $280 million fine and three years of probation. Other charges against the parent and affiliates were stayed; this record attributes the conviction to the named subsidiary.
