Bolloré Ordered to Stand Trial in France Over Alleged Foreign Bribery Linked to Togo Port Business
In March 2026, French judges ordered Vincent Bolloré to stand trial before the Paris criminal court for alleged bribery of a foreign public official in Togo and complicity in breach of trust in Togo and Guinea. French investigators suspect that Bolloré-linked businesses provided discounted political consulting services during the 2010 presidential campaigns in Togo and Guinea in exchange for advantages connected with management of major ports. The allegations remain to be adjudicated at trial and should not be treated as a final criminal conviction of Bolloré SE.
