The Czech competition authority found that Česká pošta abused its monopolistic position by imposing conditions governing postage meters that distorted competition in servicing and repairing external components of Ascom Hasler machines. The authority found that the rules harmed competing service providers and consumers and contributed to higher service prices. The conduct had been applied from at least 26 January 1999. The authority prohibited continuation of the abuse, and its case register records the decision as legally effective on 28 August 2002.
