Crédit Agricole Investment Bank Paid $787.3 Million to Resolve U.S. Sanctions Violations
In October 2015, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, owned by Crédit Agricole S.A., admitted sanctions violations and entered into resolutions with U.S. authorities totaling $787.3 million.
The U.S. Treasury said the conduct involved 4,297 financial and trade transactions between 2003 and 2008 in which references to sanctioned parties were removed, omitted or obscured when transactions were routed through U.S. banks.
