French competition authority fined Edenred entities €157.1 million in the meal-voucher cartel case
On 17 December 2019, the French Competition Authority fined Edenred France and its parent Edenred S.A. jointly and severally €157.09 million after finding two anticompetitive practices in the meal-voucher sector between 2002 and 2018: exchanges of confidential commercial information through the CRT processing association and arrangements restricting entry and development by competitors. Edenred appealed. On 16 November 2023, the Paris Court of Appeal dismissed the principal challenges and upheld the main findings.
