Elektro Ljubljana d.d. Rotten Score Breakdown

Slovenia's Competition Protection Office found that Elektro Ljubljana and four other electricity distributors acted in concert when they announced almost identical household electricity price increases on 22-23 November 2007, all effective on 1 January 2008. The authority held that the coordination restricted competition. The Supreme Court upheld the national competition-law findings on 30 June 2009, while removing only the separate EU-law finding concerning effect on trade between Member States. Elektro Ljubljana subsequently reimbursed overcharged household customers for the period from 1 January to 31 October 2008.
