Exim Banca Românească fined about RON 96.49 million in ROBOR coordination case
In June 2026 Romania's Competition Council sanctioned ten banks for infringing Romanian and EU competition rules through coordinated behaviour during the ROBOR benchmark-setting process. The authority found exchanges of confidential and strategic information during fixing. Exim Banca Românească received a fine of about RON 96.49 million. The decision can be challenged before the Bucharest Court of Appeal and final judicial closure has not occurred, so this record is marked unresolved.
