The European Commission found FLSmidth & Co. A/S and FLS Plast liable for participation in a cartel in the European industrial plastic-bags sector. The conduct included price fixing, common price-calculation models, market and sales-quota allocation, customer and order allocation, bid coordination and exchange of individualized information. EU court proceedings ultimately left FLSmidth jointly and severally liable for EUR 14.45 million of the fine after adjusting the period of liability.
