Galp Energia, SGPS, S.A. Rotten Score Breakdown

The Portuguese Competition Authority concluded that companies in the Galp Energia group restricted distributors from selling bottled LPG outside allocated geographic territories, artificially partitioning the Portuguese market and reducing intra-brand competition. The Competition, Regulation and Supervision Court confirmed the infringement and imposed fines totalling EUR 4.1 million on Petrogal, Galp Açores and Galp Madeira. In January 2017 the Lisbon Court of Appeal upheld the infringement and the EUR 4.1 million total fine.
