Hydro-Québec pleaded guilty to one offence under Canada's Species at Risk Act and was fined $40,000 on October 13, 2022. Environment and Climate Change Canada said work performed on March 23, 2022 damaged 3,955 square metres of protected Western Chorus Frog critical habitat in La Prairie, Quebec.
