Japan Airlines Co., Ltd.

Japan Airlines International Co., Ltd., the predecessor operating company of today's Japan Airlines, pleaded guilty and on May 7, 2008 was sentenced to pay a $110 million criminal fine for fixing international cargo rates. DOJ charged conduct from April 1, 2000 through February 2006 and said the carrier participated in meetings and communications to agree, levy and monitor cargo rates.
