Jyske Bank ordered to stop erroneous debt collection
The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority ordered Jyske Bank to take measures to ensure that it did not collect debts on an erroneous basis and to inform affected customers. The regulator stated that although the bank had identified up to 14 sources of error in its debt-collection systems and processes, it continued collecting error-affected debt during 2021, 2022 and 2023. Jyske Bank AML order over environmental-crime risk controls
Following an AML inspection, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority issued Jyske Bank an order and a supervisory criticism in June 2026. The authority found that the bank had not sufficiently incorporated environmental-crime risks into its anti-money-laundering measures despite this being identified as a significant national risk and despite the bank having customers exposed to that type of crime. Because the decision is recent and compliance with the order continues, the record is marked unresolved.
