France's competition authority imposed a €189.5 million fine on L'Oréal in December 2014 in the personal-care and hygiene products case involving conduct dating to the early 2000s.
L'Oréal's own regulatory filing records that the Paris Court of Appeal confirmed the competition authority's decision in October 2016. L'Oréal disputed the allegation that it had participated in an agreement with competitors.
