Loblaw Companies Limited

The Competition Bureau states that in December 2017 Loblaw Companies Limited and Weston Foods, both then subsidiaries of George Weston Limited, announced their participation in what they described as an industry-wide bread price-fixing arrangement and received immunity from prosecution in exchange for cooperation. This record does not characterize Loblaw as convicted: immunity means the Bureau did not prosecute the cooperating company for the disclosed conduct.
