Finansinspektionen found that Nordnet had breached EU short-selling rules by allowing customers to submit short-sale orders without meeting the required locate conditions and that the bank continued offering the service despite known deficiencies. FI issued a warning and imposed an administrative fine of SEK 100 million in 2022.
