Central Bank of Cyprus fined payabl. €350,000 for anti-money-laundering-law failures
The Central Bank of Cyprus decided on 30 September 2025 to fine payabl. CY Limited, formerly Powercash21 Ltd, €350,000 for failure to comply with provisions of Cyprus's anti-money-laundering law. The decision arose from findings in a 2020 examination. Payabl. stated that the review related to customers served during 2014–2018 and that those relationships had ended before the CBC process began. The CBC sanctions register says payabl. filed Administrative Court appeal 1405/2025 on 12 December 2025 and lists it as pending; this record therefore reports a contested regulatory finding, not a final judgment.
