ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE

In October 2007, ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG announced that it would accept a €120 million fine to close German Federal Cartel Office proceedings involving its advertising-sales business. The Bundeskartellamt concluded that so-called share-of-advertising rebates used between ProSiebenSat.1's SevenOne Media sales unit and media agencies constituted vertical restraints of competition. The rebates had most recently been used in the 2006 booking season. ProSiebenSat.1 agreed to stop offering the rebates and move to a pricing model intended to comply with competition law.
