European Commission fined Prysmian €104.6 million for a nearly decade-long power-cables cartel
Summary
On 2 April 2014, the European Commission found that Prysmian and other producers had allocated customers and markets for high-voltage underground and submarine power cables from 1999 until January 2009. Prysmian's fine was €104,613,000. Prysmian's challenge was ultimately rejected by the EU Court of Justice in closed Case C-601/18 P on 25 November 2020.
