Servier Fined Hundreds of Millions of Euros Over Pay-for-Delay Agreements
The European Commission found that Servier entered agreements with generic drug manufacturers that restricted competition around the blood-pressure medicine perindopril.
The Commission originally imposed fines on Servier totaling approximately €331 million. Litigation subsequently changed parts of the decision and reduced the amount, while EU court proceedings upheld core findings concerning anticompetitive agreements. The Court of Justice's 2024 judgment addressed the remaining appeals.
