Slovnaft, a.s.

The Slovak Antimonopoly Office found that Slovnaft abused its dominant position in wholesale petrol and diesel markets through a non-transparent discriminatory pricing policy. The authority found that prices and discounts differed according to customers' dependence on Slovnaft and their ability to switch to competitors, without objective justification. The conduct covered petrol wholesale during 2005-2006 and diesel wholesale during 2006. A EUR 9,028,746 fine was imposed. On 18 April 2013 the Supreme Court upheld the authority's decision, with no further legal remedy.
