In December 2019, France's Autorité de la concurrence sanctioned the four historical meal-voucher issuers for anticompetitive practices involving confidential information exchanges and market-locking arrangements. Sodexo Pass France, jointly with Sodexo S.A., was fined €126.322 million. The Paris Court of Appeal confirmed the French Competition Authority decision in November 2023; Sodexo reported that the fine had already been fully paid by the end of fiscal 2023 while the company continued its appeal process.
