Summary
Finland's Market Court found that Stora Enso Oyj, UPM-Kymmene Oyj and Metsäliitto had engaged in nationwide prohibited price cooperation and information exchange in raw-wood procurement from 1997 to 2004. Company representatives exchanged purchase-price information and discussed price development in ways intended to influence future raw-wood pricing. The Market Court imposed a EUR 30 million competition penalty on Stora Enso.
