Yara International ASA

Norway's ØKOKRIM imposed a corporate penalty on Yara International ASA for three cases of gross corruption involving bribery arrangements connected to senior public officials in Libya and India and a supplier in Russia. ØKOKRIM said the bribery agreements totalled about USD 12 million and occurred from 2004 to 2009. Yara acknowledged that the conditions for corporate criminal liability were met and accepted a NOK 270 million fine plus NOK 25 million confiscation.
