Company: Magyar Telekom Nyrt.

Summary

The Hungarian Competition Authority found that T-Com, now Magyar Telekom, unfairly manipulated consumer choice in its 2005 advertising campaign for Favorit and Favorit Plus tariff packages. Advertising promoted free telephony and 18 hours of free calls per day, while important restrictions applied, including per-call and monthly limits and network-specific conditions. The GVH imposed a HUF 150 million fine on 20 December 2005.
