Daiichi Sankyo U.S. subsidiary paid $39 million to settle physician-kickback allegations

Summary

On January 9, 2015, Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited, agreed to pay $39 million to resolve False Claims Act allegations that speaker fees, meals and honoraria were used as kickbacks to induce prescribing.
