In August 2024, Germany's Bundeskartellamt concluded an administrative competition proceeding involving Aurubis AG, Wieland Werke AG and their jointly controlled company Schwermetall Halbzeugwerk. The authority examined contractual provisions that required shareholder approval before Schwermetall could change its product mix or customer portfolio or manufacture and supply new alloys.
