The World Bank debarred B.V. Scheepswerf Damen Gorinchem for 18 months in 2016. World Bank records state that the company was ineligible for Bank-financed contracts during the debarment and that release depended on compliance and cooperation conditions. An OECD review later described the World Bank action as following Damen's failure to disclose payments to an agent in a tender to supply fisheries patrol boats.
