Robert Bosch GmbH

In February 2018, the European Commission fined Robert Bosch GmbH €45.834 million for participating in a cartel concerning spark plugs supplied to car manufacturers in the European Economic Area. The Commission found that Bosch, Denso and NGK coordinated prices and allocated supplies through bilateral contacts. The conduct included agreements on price quotas, supply shares and bottom-line prices, as well as understandings designed to protect historical supply positions. Bosch received reductions for cooperation and settlement, but the Commission still imposed a €45.834 million fine.
