Royal Unibrew A/S accepted a DKK 4 million fine for misleading marketing of Egekilde water as CO2-neutral. The Danish Consumer Ombudsman found that the packaging did not clearly disclose that the claimed neutrality was achieved partly through climate compensation credits. The marketing ran from 2022 to 2024 and was treated as a violation of Denmark's Marketing Practices Act.
