Valio committed to protect competitors' confidential pricing information as a condition for approval of its acquisition of Heinon Tukku. An IT firewall error gave Valio Aimo personnel access to competitors' price information for several months. The Market Court found that Valio had materially breached the commitment and imposed a EUR 600,000 penalty. On 16 January 2026 the Supreme Administrative Court upheld the penalty.
